General Comments
Due to the temporary cessation status of this mine, no operator contact was
made. This was a complete inspection of all surface facilities associated
with the mine.
Drainage ditches along the access roads leading from the entry gate to the
upper and lower portal benches and coal stockpile area were functioning
properly. Berms along the outside edge of the road cuts were stable and
showed no evidence of slumping. All culverts at the mine were clear and in
good working order.
The backfilled portal on the upper (Cameo seam) bench was inspected and
appeared to be stable. No evidence of settling or development of vents to the
underground mine fire were observed.
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
