•
INSPECTION REPORT - PAGE 2
FILE N0. M-77-129
DATE: February 13, 1986
OBSERVATIONS OF IMPORTANCE:
1. The purpose of this inspection was to verify the adequacy of the existing
1;30,576.00 financial warranty.
2. Observations in the field indicated grading was occurring concurrently
with mining.
3. Noting significant areas under water, and the fact that large areas set
aside as cattle feeding areas do not require re vegetation, the total area now
requiring revegetation is well below 30 acres.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. It appears that there is adequate financial warranty to cover existing
reclamation costs.
2. The operator is encouraged to maintain annual cost estimates for
reclamation. Due to the complexity and scale of this operation, warranty
adjustment will probably be a recurring issue for this operation.
3. The staff appreciates Mr. Gardner's cooperation during our recent
inspection.
/tmb
Doc. No. 7874
h~~ ~ ~.
