(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: ti+-7nnn_> > 5
INSPECTION DATE: n~tnhA~ 15 X003 INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: ° iw
OBSERVATIONS
This was o normal monitoring inspection conducted by Tony Waldron of DMG. The inspection was requested by
the operator to discuss their current plan and the possibility of expansion. The site is located approximately 30
miles northeast of Trinidad. The target of the mining operation is a 25 foot thick limestone deposit that is
processed into road surfacing gravel. The pit is situated on an area known as Tyrone Flats at the head of a
small arroyo that eventually leads to the Apishapa River. The surrounding area is short grass rangeland typical
to this area of the state.
The operator was in the process of going back into the pit to fill a contract and was inquiring as to how much
area was still available within this site and whether or not the present permit could be amended to expand the
mineable area from its present 13 acres to 40 acres. The disturbed portion of the pit is approximately 5 acres
and is at the point where it has about reached its maximum disturbance before any reclamation activities can
begin. The permit boundaries were clearly marked and there is a little room to the west and to the south
before the mining will have to start going east.
There should not be a problem expanding the permit area from its present 13 acres to 40, providing the
reserved extends that far south and east. In order to determine if the reserve does extend that far, the operator
wants to conduct some minor exploration with aback-hoe. However, in order to conduct the exploration, the
operator will be required to submit a notice of intent to conduct exploration per Rule 5.1. A form is enclosed for
use in submitting this application.
This concluded the inspection. No problems were noted. The current financial warranty is $A1,600.00. This
amount is adequate to secure the current reclamation liability.
18~ E Contact Address
NAME: Mvron Mullett
OPERATOR: Mullett's Constriction
STREET: P.n Rax 377
CITY/STATE/ZIP: WPCtcliffa.
