__..
INSPECTION REPORT - PAGE 2
FILE N0. 83-89
DATE: May 1, 1985
OBSERVATIONS OF IMPORTANCE:

1. The purpose of this inspection was to determine if the site was presently
being mined and to further check disturbance in relation to the permit
boundaries.
2. The wet pit excavated is outside the permit boundary approximately 200
ft. It appears as though a dewatering trench was constructed to drain this
excavation.
3. The disturbance on the east side is outside of the permit boundary
approximetly 150 feet. The disturbed area outside of the permit boundary is a
150 foot (approx.) strip along and parallel to the eastern permit boundary.
5. The topsoil stockpile to the north exhibits decayed roots, grass clumps
and woody plants. Topsoil is mixed with some gravel alluvium. Topsoil to the
northwest and northeast is spread around piled randomly. This main topsoil
stockpile is cut with a bulldozer trench.
6. The excavated waste rock material is located approximately 100 feet from
the main channel of East Plum Creek Channel. Waste rock is located on both
sides of the access road to the pit. The waste rock pile south of the road is
graded.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. Submit a 112 permit application to address the following items:
- Acreage disturbed in relation to existing and proposed permit boundary
- Grade and reseed topsoil stockpiles
- Handling and reclamation of wasterock or excavated material
- Backfilling and regrading the pit and other excavated areas.
- Location of buildings, roads, etc.
- Disposal of junk and trash
This application should be submitted in accordance with Rule 2 of CMLRB Rules
and Regulations.
1yt
Doc.
