ORIGINAL-PUBLIC FILE
(Page 2~
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn_t9an_~aa
INSPECTION DATE: tgL'i/n~ INSPECTOROS INITIALS: _B>~
OBSERVATIONS
The Division conducted an inspection of the site on 10/3/07 to monitor the placement of
the higher capacity pump for Phase LVCS #1. Present during the inspection was Gary
Goodrich, Tim Comer and Mark vanoni of CC&V were present.
Observed the placement of the Phase IV Low volume high capacity pump. Both DBMS AND
CC&V agreed to allow only the new pump to operate to see if as expected the pump will
be able to draw down the level below two feet. Until an equilibrium is established
between the in-flow and out flow to the ponds, both the Division and CC&V expect the
head to exceed 2 feet. However, after a few hours, both the Division and CC&v expect
the one pup to be able to draw it down below the tow feet level.
Inspected the Victory pad ponds. The pad has been released after the leachate sample
had achieved the .2ppm wad cyanide level, Both DRMS and CC&V had agreed not to breach
the pond liner until a steady state flow FROM THE PADS had been achieved. At present,
the flow into the ponds had been consistently measured AT 25GPM.
CC&V wants to remove all pond liners and back fill the two upper ponds and use the
larger lower pond after removing the liner as part of the storm water pond by
backfilling it with coarse material removed from the original material removed during
the pond construction, for better infiltration. This pond will act a storm water pond
for the road and associated up gradient areas, including the road. The Division has
already released the pads so, what CC&V is proposing is what the approved permit
allows. Once that is completed, CC&v will commence the reclamation of the pads, once
the mining plan for the pending amendment is determined.
I & E Contact Address t OTHER
NAME: TIM COMER
OPERATOR: CC&V
STREET: P.n atlx t9t
CITY/STATE/ZIP: _ vlcmR c~i ~RAnn RnR6n
cc. t CE
I' BL
r FS,
1' H W
t HMWMD (CH)
r
r SE
r WOCD (CH)
