T ~ <br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />On July 29, 1994 the Division conducted a partial inspection of the Canadian <br />Strip Mine. At the time of the inspection the weather was threatening a thunder <br />shower and hot. This area has not received much precipitation since the last <br />inspection. This area is in a severe drought as classified by the Palmer drought <br />index. <br />This reclaimed mine site looked stable and no problems were noted. Water was <br />noted in pond #2. Five antelope were in the reclaim, ducks were in pond #2 and <br />a Golden Eagle was soaring above pond #1. <br />
