• (Page 2) •
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-88-115
INSPECTION DATE 5/5/99 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS AJW
OBSERVATIONS
This was a normal monitoring inspection conducted by Tony Waldron of DMG along with Walt
Isenbart of Kit Carson County. The site is located approximately 15 miles north of Flagler,
Colorado near the intersection of roads 0 and LL and within the banks of the Arikaree River.
This is a typical creek bottom gravel operation with extraction occurring in the active
channel of the Arikaree River which is normally dry at this location. The east and west
boundaries are delineated by the creek bank and a fence, but the north and south boundaries
are not marked. This is being cited a~s a problem on page three of this report along with
corrective actions. The mine identification was properly posted at the mine entrance and
conatained the required information. There was a small stockpile of material along the west
bank of the creek and upon closing and reclaiming this pit, this area will need to be graded
out and revegetated. The rest of the disturbance, which is isolated to the creek channel,
will simply need to graded out to blend in with the upstream and downstream channel
elevation.
I & E Contact Address
NAME Walt Isenbart
OPERATOR Kit Carson County
STREET P.O.
