This appears to be a viable means
to help control erosion. Russian olive or other tolerant species planted of the terraces
would help stabilize, create micro-environments, increase humus production, and improve
the aesthetic qualities of the berm.
2. Topsoil stockpiles have been stabilized with a grass cover.
3 , The upper-most benches of the pit(particularly with regards to final r~:clamation) may
exhibit some instability because of their location in [he Weathered zone (regoli[h).
4. Generally, however, this quarry appears to be a neat operation, and is presently in
accordance with the approved mining plan.
RE~1`IDATIOIIS
Inspected by: f~ 1_~~ ~1,~ r•.,%L~-
Recl~ation Specialist
s:;'r''
