(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn_t4ur>_tod
INSPECTION DATE: 9-ta-03 INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: _1D-.
OBSERVATIONS
Completed an tnspecflon of this operation pursuant to requirements of Rule 4.16.2(2) after the Division received
a request for release of reclamation responsibility from the permittee.
This is a 7 acre 110 Limited Impact permit located about 1 mile south of Peyton on the east side of Peyton
highway.
The site is adequately graded pursuant to the approved mining and reclamation plans. Topsoil (growth
medium) has been replaced and the site has been re-seeded (a couple of years ago). Primary vegetation
consists of blue grams, sideoats grams, smooth brome, sand dropseed, crested wheatgrass with some kochia,
russian thlsite, wild sunflowers and other unldeniifled weeds and vegetation. The weed population is only a small
percentage of the overall vegetative cover. The required berm on the east side of the pit was regraded and
reseeded. The pit floor contains two small ponds. Storm runoff fills the ponds almost every rain event. The water
percolates and evaporates out of the pits within a few days. Vegetative cover (density and diversity) meets the
requirements of the approved permit and the Act/Rules and Regulations so, therefore, the site can be released.
Did not observe any problems.
18, E Contact Address
NAME: Chuck McCullah
OPERATOR: FI Paso County
STREET: 3460 N MnrkshPffal Rri
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Cnlnrndn. ri 9c.
