..n5.
n :~i
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made ~;,•
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the
inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was an aerial inspection flown by Harry Ranney of the Division on 10/23/97. One low
angle oblique photo covering the entire reclaimed area was viewed by Dan Mathews of DMG on
] 1/4/97. There appeared to be a small pool of water in the sediment pond. It was evident that
construction of the lower segment of the permanent diversion channel into the pond, and
backfilling of the segment that had previously bypassed the pond had recently been completed.
At a number of locations along the permanent channel, cuts had been made in the berm along the
channel with associated short ditch segments to direct flow loom terrace ditches and reclaimed
slopes into the permanent diversion channel. These drainage modifications were to conform with
permanent, post reclamation drainage configuration for the reclaimed site.
Site conditions appeared to be dry, and there were no slwnp features or gullies evidient on the
reclaimed slopes.
- - _.r
