ORIGINAL -PUBLIC FILE
(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nt_tas;~-n~
INSPECTION DATE: 12!11`3!116 INSPECTOROS INITIALS: _SK-
OBSERVATIONS
The Division conducted aPRE-OPEARTIONAL INSPECTION OF THE SITE ON 12-03-03.The sites is a small 112
operation located along the South Platt water shed, in Adams County. The operator is Adding 8 acres to the
permit area for a total of 75.7 acres .Present, during the inspection was Mr. Rob Latred, of Asphalt Specialist.
Amendment application sign was properly displayed. The area to be amended will remove two ground water
monitoring wells and replace it Is one. Given the Hydraulic gradient of the shallow ground water in the are, the
one well will be more than adequate. In addition, the operator in the past have been willing to drill replacement
wells in the event existing well owners are impacted. The operator had done that in the past and Mr. Latred
stated that they would continue wish the same approach. Since the ground water is very shallow in the area, the
cost of drilling is much cheaper on the average about $700, than what tt would cost to determine using
consultants to compute the draw down to an adjacent well. The post mining land use is as water storage. The
entire amended area was inspected and found to be as submitted in the permit application. The amended are
was properly marked. Permit sign was also properly posted.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: MR ROB LAIRED
OPERATOR: ASPHALT SPECIALTIES
STREET: 7391 F ARtH AVF Sl11TF 100
CITY/STATE/ZIP: NFNf1FRSnN.
