Protected stream channels: None. <br />Small Area Exemptions: There are two topsoil Stockpiles along the <br />mine access road which have been bermed. OSMRE issued a Ten-Day <br />Notice for failure to pass the surface drainage from these <br />topsoil piles through a sedimentation structure on 12-18-89. As <br />a result DMG committed to requiring the Company to submit a <br />revision indicating how the surface drainage form the stockpiles <br />would be controlled and demonstrating the adequacy of the <br />measures taken. This information was not found during the <br />records review. DMG provided information to indicate that the <br />permit was revised to reflect the small area exemption but no <br />information has been provided to demonstrate that the <br />requirements of the regulations have been met. DMG should review <br />the permit to insure that the small area exemptions meet the <br />requirements of the regulation. <br />HAUL/ACCESS ROADS: <br />Surfacing: The surfacing appeared adequate at this time. <br />Maintenance: Acceptable with the exception of ditches which has <br />been discussed above. <br />Ditches and culverts: Discussed earlier in this report. <br />Reclamation: Not applicable at this time. <br />TOPSOIL <br />Removal: None being removed. <br />Placement: None being placed. <br />Storage: The topsoil stockpile at the loadout needs to be <br />reseeded. <br />10 <br />
