Tiie comments includr. discussion of <br />ooservations made during tire inspection, Comments also descriue any <br />enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence <br />supporting the enforcement action. <br />On July 22, 1993 a partial inspection was conducted at the Marr Strip Mlne. <br />During the field portion of the inspection this inspector was accompanied by <br />Charlie Finiau. The weather was clear and warm. This portion of the state has <br />had a drier than normal midsummer. <br />Backfilling and grading of the 720 and pit 1 are in full swing. Eight scrapers <br />and two dozers were working the 720 pit. Scrapers were ramping around the <br />north side of OB-1, removing from the top and traveling down the west side of <br />the pile to the 720 pit. <br />At pit 1 highwall reduction has begun. At the time of the Inspection the dozer <br />was down. Topsoil has been pushed back from the area of highwall reduction. <br />Ditches an culverts appeared in good maintenance. NOV C-93-022 was terminated <br />during the inspection and George Patterson given a copy. Ditch C-1 had been <br />regraded and had riprap placed in the bottom. Drainage on the facilities bench <br />had been routed to a single drop point where it will flow to a elephant tubing <br />drop structure as approved in MR-14. <br />At the intersection between the access road and pit 1 access that once formed a <br />triangle, the road that formed the north side had been removed. A ditch had <br />been cut as approved in MR-14. The culvert had been reattached. <br />Marr Strip Mine, C-SO-006 July 22, 1993 <br />
