111. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection
and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was an aerial inspection of the Marr Mine conducted by Harry Ranney of the DMG. Aerial
photographs were taken on January 19, 2005 at approximately 10:41 a.m. Mike Boulay of the
DMG reviewed the aerial photographs. Weather conditions were clear and sunny at the time of
the flight. The majority of the mine site was snow covered. The county road leading 1o the mine
site was partially snow packed, but appeazs accessible in the photos. The permanent light use
road accessing the shop/warehouse area was snow packed. The area surrounding the
shop/wazehouse was heavily snow covered and there is no activity apparent at the mine site.
Sedimentation Ponds A, B, C, D, F, and G were visible in the photographs. The sedimentation
ponds were snow covered and appeaz frozen. None of these site sedimentation ponds were
discharging at the time of the flight, and water levels in each pond appeazs to be relatively low.
No problems or areas of concern were noted from the review of the aerial photographs.
