III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection of the Arness McGriffin Mine conducted by Tom Gillis of the Colorado <br />Division of Minerals and Geology. Although snow has disappeared from the site, ground conditions were <br />fairly wet as a result ofrainfall events during the past few days. The access road to the site was impassable <br />at the time of the inspection. <br />Roads <br />The road leading to the site is still closed off to prevent non-seasonal access to the DOW wildlife area <br />situated above the mine site. <br />Hvdrolo¢ic Balance <br />No severe erosion problems were observed during the inspection and the site appears to be in the same <br />condition as observed during the fall of 2005. <br />
