(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1978-192 <br />INSPECTION DATE 07/20/06 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS ESC <br />OBS3RVATION3 <br />This was an inspection of the Pit #6 conducted by Erica Crosby of the Division of Minerals <br />and Geology. Joe Nelson of Chaffee County was present during the inspection. <br />The Pit #6 is located 3 miles southwest of Buena Vista in Chaffee County Colorado. The <br />permit was issued on January 2, 1979 for a permit area of 6 acres. The conversion <br />application increasing the permit area to 20 acres was withdrawn by the operator on July 14, <br />2003. <br />A sign has been posted and the fences delineate the permit boundary area. <br />The site has been backfilled and graded according to the approved reclamation plan. The <br />terrain varies, but all elopes are less than the required 2h:ly. The site was reclaimed <br />several years ago, but reclamation has been ongoing. Grasses noted on site include Buffalo <br />grass, Needle and Thread, Indian Ricegrass, Wheatgrass and Sand Dropseed. Small portions of <br />the site were bare of desirable vegetation and are dominated by Russian Thistle and other <br />annual weeds.
