Below are commer~s on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the Inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />On October 20 and 22, 1997 William J. Carter from the Division of Mnerals and Geology, pertonned <br />a complete Inspection of the Blue Ribbon Mine. During the Inspection the weather was clear and <br />warm. <br />Availability of Records: <br />Overall, the records at the County Clerk and Recorder era in good and orderly condition. Please add the <br />new NPDES permit into the Binder for Available Records. <br />Bids: <br />The Delta County road up Hubbard Creek has not significantly changed since the last inspection. <br />H_vdrotonic Halaece: <br />• Ponds numbered three and four did not contain any free water at the time of the inspection. <br />• Pond number five contains free water on about half of the bottom. This water appears to be <br />Doming primarily from the south underdrain. <br />• South rmderdrain was running at the time Of the inspection. <br />• The drainage ditch at the toe of the slope leading to pond number five contained running water <br />from the south underdrain to the pond. Small amounts of water were observed in depressions in <br />the vicinity of the middle and north underdrains. <br />• Several of the established eprirrg~ on the lower bench were producing small amounts of free <br />water at the time of the inspection. <br />Fish and Wildlife: <br />Significant current grating of vegetation on the site ie apparent. <br />Slides tied Damaee: <br />No new indication of sliding was observed at this time. <br />Others: <br />There appears not to be any new weed corrtrd efforts at the mine site. <br />
