(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-1977-306 <br />INSPECTION DATE: 2-7-07 <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS GRM <br />This inspection was conducted as part of the normal monitoring program established by the Colorado Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety for permitted sites. The primary reason for the inspection was a fact finding tour by <br />Division Geo-Chemist David Bird. Mr. Bird is now involved in the review of uranium mines and the Designated <br />Mining Operation appeals on these sites, Also, it provided staff an opportunity to verify the location and installation <br />of pizometers at the 4 current sites under DMO review. Glen Williams, representative for Cotter accompanied the <br />Division on site. <br />The mine identification sign and affected azea boundary mazkers aze in place and in compliance with Rule 3.1.12. <br />The pizometer is located just south of the waste piles west of the main access road. One ofthe accompanying pictures <br />notes the black and blue cap typical of the installation of al] four wells. Cotter will be submitting data from this weH <br />with the other 3 sites prior to the Board Hearing on the DMO issues. A water monitoring well is located due east on <br />the other side of the main access road from the pizometer. Data from this well also will be submitted by Cotter prior <br />to any Board review as well. <br />At this time there is no activity on the site. Air fans and electrical equipment have been pulled out of the lower <br />workings to safeguazd against water damage at the main portal. At the upper head frame, the water treatment ponds <br />are noted as being dry at this time. <br />No unnecessary debris, ore stockpiles or fuel storage were observed. <br />Mr. Bird discussed and observed the general geology and hydrology of the mine area with Mr. Williams.
