III. COMMENTS-COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the inspection. Comments also describe <br />any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts of evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />Wildlife: During the inspection numerous birds were encountered. Species encountered include: Great <br />Blue Heron, and two Sandhill Cranes at pond A. One sage grouse with 4 young were flushed in upper Area <br />31. Three Colombian sharptail grouse were flushed at PG 7-1, while an owl was encountered in PG 9/10. <br />A young Mule deer fawn was in stockpond 31 f. Songbirds were regulazly observed throughout the <br />reclaimed mine site. <br />Reclamation Success: Vegetative throughout the mine site is very good, with considerable vegetative and <br />topographic diversity though out the site. CYCC regulazly grazes the mine site every yeaz, though cattle <br />had not been fumed out onto the Eckman Pazk or Mine 1 pastures this summer at the time of the inspection. <br />The vegetative communities regulazly recover from domestic grazing at the stocking rates put on by <br />CYCC.
