Once the soil in these areas have been loosened, it will be smoothed with a disk, harrow <br />or other equipment. <br />C. Areas of tertiary disturbance <br />1. Tertiary disturbance will occur innon-production areas, such as temporary roads <br />and areas where sediment control dams are placed. Other tertiary disturbance will <br />be the inevitable litter and debris that will accumulate in the area. Some <br />disturbance may occur in the process of weed control. This will also be <br />considered tertiary disturbance. <br />2. Such disturbance will be minimal and in general will be remediable with hand <br />tools. <br />3. Tertiary disturbance will be localized with the overwhelming majority of the area <br />being completely undisturbed. <br />4. All areas within the permit boundaries and not included in other disturbed or <br />reclaimed areas will be considered tertiary disturbance. <br />D. Revegetation <br />1. Once the seedbed has been prepared, the area will be spread with chemical fertilizer and <br />other soil amendments as recommended by the National Resources Conservation Service <br />(MRCS) and seeded <br />2. The area will be seeded with grasses and legumes as recommended by the NRCS <br />a. See attachment # 1 NRCS Report <br />b. The NRCS will be consulted as to: <br />i. Timing of seeding. <br />ii. Need for application of mulch or, <br />iii. The use of nurse crops. <br />iv. Control of noxious weeds. <br />c. The seed mix will be as follows inpounds/acre <br />i. Canada Bluegrass-- 3# <br />ii. Western Wheatgrass-- I6# <br />iii. Sideoats Gtame-- 9# <br />iv. Blue Grama-- 3# <br />v. Little Bluestem 7# <br />vi. Switchgrass 4.5# <br />d.
