III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. This <br />requirement would apply to the steep south facing highwall reduction slope north of the <br />005-E1 channel, which is to be topsoiled this fall. <br />Revegetation <br />Operator indicated that complications with the aspen study referenced in recent inspection <br />reports have not yet been resolved. Mr. Shevling stated that he had been having difficulty <br />contacting consultants necessary to modify the study design as warranted and implement <br />various aspects of the study. Operator is reminded that time is of the essence"regarding <br />this matter, as the approved permit specifies that site native aspen saplings are to 6e <br />selected and dug this fall after onset of dormancy: If the approved plan is not feasible, <br />appropriate modifications need to be submitted as soon as possible. <br />3 <br />
