(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-iaaa-nay
INSPECTION DATE: m/n3/nS INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: TAS
1. A site inspection of the Adamson Brothers Pit was conducted as part of the Division's on-going 4-year inspection
program. Present during the inspection was Mr. Paul Like of Yuma County Road & Bridge Department.
2. The Adamson Brothers Pit is an active pit with approximately 7-8 acres of surface disturbance. No groundwater has
been exposed thus far. The operator has done a good job of contemporaneous reclamation be backfill and grading a
significant portion of the pit highwalls to slopes of 3:1 or 4:1. The operator has done a good job of contemporaneous
reclamation. Mr. Like indicated that mining is nearly completed at the Adamson Brothers Pit and should finished in 2006.
All disturbances were found to be well within the 9.99 acre permit boundary. Available topsoil has been salvaged and
stockpiled for use during final reclamation. The site will ultimately be reclaimed to rangeland. Photographs of the site are
attached to this report.
3. Mr. Like indicated that the landowner would prefer to leave the pit Floor open and available for collection of effluent
from the adjacent, up-gradient feedlot, rather than to have the pit Floor topsoiled and re-vegetated. To accommodate
such change, the operator will need to submit a request for a technical revision to the reclamation plan. Such request will
need to include a $188 revision fee.
4. Signs and boundary markers are in place.
5. There were no problems noted.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Mr. Paul Like
OPERATOR: Yuma County
STREET: 1310 S.
