C~
(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-85-029
INSPECTION DATE: 4/20/00
OBSERVATIONS
C~
INSPECTOR'S Ir11TIALS: AIW
This inspection was conducted at the request of the operator to review apre-law area within the per fitted area that is being
slated for a financial warranty release. The Alma Placer is located just east of the town of Alma, Corrado on an old alluvial
terrace of the North Fork of the South Platte River.
The present day Alma Placer Mine was permitted in 1985. However, mining has historically occurr d all around the town of
Alma including many portions of the current permitted area for the placer. The mine was permitted n such a way as to
include affected area sections within the permit area that would be mined in a particular sequences as to maintain a lower
overall financial warranty cost. One particular area of the permit area was purposely left out of the ffected area in order to
avoid the reclamation liability associated with it since it was pre-law mined and basically consisted f a placer waste pile or a
large unsorted gravel pile. The operator is now interested in deleting this approximately 10 acre par el from the permitted
area and re-permitting it as a separate 110 gravel permit. Therefore, this inspection was conducted t confirm that no
additional disturbance, outside of the pre-law disturbance, has occurred during the present day oper tion of the mine. Based
on this inspection, it does not appear that any mining activities related to the present day operation f the Alma Placer have
occurred within this area. As a result, if the operator submits a request for a full financial warranty r lease with a map clearly
delineating the section of the permit area in question, this portion of the permit area could be releas d without further
inspection. This submittal must be received by our office within 90 days of this inspection.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Dennis Ducommun
OPERATOR: Reclamation Resources
STREET: P.O Box 848
CITY/STATE2IP: Fraser, Colorado 80442
cc ^ CE
^ BL
^ FS
^ HW
^ HMWMD (CH)
^ SE
^ WQCD (CH)
^ OTHER
