(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-2002-046
INSPECTION DATE: 8/30/04 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS GRM
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was conducted as part of the normal monitoring program established by the Colorado Division of
Minerals and Geology. The D Road Gravel Pit is located in Grand Junction, Colorado at D Road and 29'/z Roads.
Gayle Lyman ofElam, Ed Gazdner and Mazk Gardner accompanied the inspector on the inspection from Whitewater
Materials.
The D Road Gravel Pit is actively mining Phase 1. Stockpiling of topsoil and overburden is progressing while
processing of some materials has begun. A review of the approved Mining Plan indicates that all work is being
conducted as submitted.
One dewatering trench has been constructed and another is under construction: Ephemeral Resources appears to be
complying with all water quality and discharge permits at this time. No sedimentation or stonnwater issues were
noted.
Due to the fact that all disturbances are recent, vegetation within the pit is primarily annual weeds. No noxious
weeds were noted. Visual berms were observed to have very healthy grasses and trees per the approved Conditional
Use Permits.
Based on the recent activation of the permit no bond calculation review is necessary.
No issues or problems are noted at this time.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Russ Means at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand Junction
Field Office, 101 South 3`~ Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone no. 970-241-1117.
I & E Contact Address cc:
^ CE
NAME: Gavle Lvman ^ BL
OPERATOR: Ephemeral Resources ^ FS
STREET: 1225 S. 7~h Street. ^ HW
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Grand Junction.
