Mr. Norm Harvey accompanied the inspector on the investigation.
2. The north eastern portion of the pit was being actively backfilled with
fines (-1 /4 inch) from current production.
3. Recently excavated topsoil was stored in a graded stockpiled southeast
of the pit. Revegetation of the stockpile is forthcoming.
4. Fines "stockpiled" on the southwest portion of the pit area will be
graded, top soiled and seeded. Please discuss the reclamation
commencement schedule of this area. Trash was not observed in this
area, as it was buried.
5. The topsoil stockpiles on the western edge of the permit are scattered
and vegetated by weedy species. The Division strongly recommends the
seeding of these stockpiles with perennial vegetation and identification
of the piles with signs.
6.
