Mike Boulay of the DRMS reviewed
the aerial photographs.
Five photos were taken during the flyover. No problems were noted in any of the aerial
photographs.
Roads
Roads leading to Mining Area 1, Mining Area 3 and the sedimentation ponds were visible in the
photographs. Roads were dry and appeared to be in good condition.
Hydrologic Balance
Sedimentation Ponds A and B were viewed. Both ponds are entirely dry. Pond embankments
appear stable and no problems were noted at either of the sediment pond locations.
Reclamation Success
The site appears to be dry and somewhat brown. Some shrubs are visible. Overall vegetation
appears to be stressed due to the recent drought conditions at the mine site. The site does appear
stable with no significant erosion features noted in the photographs.
