The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection Comments also descnbe any enforcement actions taken durng the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action <br />This was a partial inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of Minerals <br />and Geology (DMG). This mine has closed and reclamation of most areas is complete. <br />The weather was overcast and cool. Ground conditions were generally dry and the weather <br />was cool and overcast. <br />Roads <br />Mine roads were passable and in good condition considering the recent round of <br />precipitation Road culverts were clear of debris and appeared functional. Spillways and embankments appeared no rmal. <br />Processing Waste <br />The side slopes of the refuse pile were inspected for signs of slumping and seeps. They <br />appeared normal with no sign of damage or instability of any kind. <br />Revegetation <br />A significant number of the rabbit guards that were placed to protect shrub transplants were <br />found scattered around the site. Guards were replaced as they were encountered. Wildlife <br />grazing is likely the cause of the disruption of the guards. <br />Overall, areas inspected appeared in normal condition for the late winter season. <br />
