seepage around the culvert that conveys drainage from ditch D4 at the
southeastern comer of the MWDP through a berm eastward to pond 007;
erosion of the northeastern comer of the MWDP's operational top surface, where
material being deposited in ditch D2 below could reduce its effectiveness.
The section of ditch D2 on the north side of the MWDP should be restored to the
approved trapezoidal design or approved by DMG in its present v-shaped configuration
as meeting runoff requirements. Engineer's quarterly monitoring reports need to be
improved to strictly comply with DMG's rules. They should be written to state whether
the refuse piles have been constructed as specified in the approved designs as required
by section 4.09.1(11)(b). Further, color photographs of underdrain construction should
accompany the engineers reports of the drain's construction as required by section
4.09.1(11)(c).
8 1997 New Elk Specva!
