i'hia letter and attached dingrema is to satisfy the undefined requirement in
July 26,1983, N.O.V. 83-25 for Grand Mesa Coal Co.
The diversion east of the refuse area was regraded July 22, 1983, using a small
dozer. Diagram A (aportion of the Affected Land Map ~2.Oy.3(2)(a)-2 from permit
application ;;C-034-81) shows the location of the diversion ditch in relation to
the proposed Underground Development Wsated Disposal Area(refuse area). Survey
stations and cross-section locations are also shown on Diagram A. Diagram B
shows the profile of the diversion ditch(note the vertical exageration) and two
representative cross-s.ctiona. Elevations were taken on 20' intervals with
three pointo showing up low. The 0.1~ and 0.3~ relief is within tolerances for
eecavation of a ditch and will likely correct themselves by minor amounts of
erosion and ailtation,common to new ditches.
