~,
COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE ~ ~~ ~~3 „0~
7in%1
P`d ~1 a-~~.~'p p
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations
made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during
the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was a partial inspection of the Twin Pines Mine Conducted by Jim Stark of
CDMG. The bond for this site has been forteited and reclamation was completed by
DMG. The weather was warm and sunny and the ground was dry.
The portal area was in good condition. This area is very well vegetated and appears
to be stable. There were no signs of erosion at this site. The remaining highwall
appears to be stable. The pond at the portal bench was dry.
The coal sales/tipple area was in good shape. The vegetation is still sparse due to
active cattle grazing. There do not appear to be any problems with erosion due to
the poor vegetative cover, The pond contained water and was well vegetated and
in good condition.
