<br />111. COMMENTS-COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the inspection. <br />Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the <br />enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection of the Coal Ridge Mine conducted by Erica Crosby of DMG. No <br />company representative was present during the inspection. The Coal Ridge Mine status is inactive. <br />The inspection involved viewing two aerial photographs taken by Harry Ranney on April 27, 1998. <br />Weather and ground conditions on site appeared clear and dry. <br />Roads Roads leading to the Coal Ridge mine appear to be in good repair. No problems were noted. <br />Hydrologic Balance The sediment pond contained water in the west cell, but well below the discharge <br />level. Diversion ditches were noted in the photos, but their conditions could not be assessed. No <br />major erosion features were noted. <br />Backfilling 8 Grading The mine terraces and benches appeared stable, and no problems were noted. <br />The reclaimed area is well vegetated. <br />
