(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: ~~-~nna~»~ <br />INSPECTION DATE: ~-~4-nd INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: _JQ- <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />Completed apre-operation inspection of this site pursuant to requirements of Rule 3.2(T). <br />Otero County has submitted a Regular 112 permit application for a site located southwest of Rocky Ford. Entry to <br />fhe site is west of CR 17 and south of CR EE. The access road, currently, is about 2'/~ - 3 miles long consisting of a <br />iwo-track trail. The road will be improved to accommodate tfie haul trucks so ff must be included in the permit <br />area and reclaimed (unless fhe landowner wants it leff so he can access his cattle). <br />The applicant proposes to permit 724 acres, but only disturb 100+/. acres. The operator plans to remove the <br />sand and gravel layers (about 18 feet thick) on top of the smolt gravel breaks. The topography is typical of the <br />eastern plains of Colorado (rolling hills, dry gulches, etc.). The rangeland is currently being grazed.
