' 7~ • (Page 2) •
~,.
= MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ZD # M-85-129
INSPECTION DATE 10/26/99
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS AJW
This was a follow-up monitoring inspection conducted by Tony Waldron of DMG. The site is
located approximately 1 mile north of Elbert, Colorado and just west of Elbert County Road
25-41. The pit is situated into a sloping upland hillside with mining progressing to the
south towards the ridgetop.
During a previous inspection (10/26/99) a problem was identified which required three
separate abatement steps. The first step required the removal of excess equipment from
outside of the permitted area. This equipment was to be placed within the permit boundary
or hauled off site. The second step was to rip and seed the area where this equipment had
been sitting along with the small access road leading up to it. The third step was to
notifiy the division that the abatement steps had been performed and submit a photo verifying
their completion.
Based on this inspection, the on-the-ground abatement has been performed. The equipment was
removed and the area where the equipment had been sitting, along with the small access road,
had been ripped and seeded. Therefore, the problem has been resolved and all compliance
issues will be terminated.
I & E Contact Address
NAME
OPERATOR
STREET
CITY/STATE/ZIP
Curt Farmer
Elbert County
P.O.
