)Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn_ieRn-iii
INSPECTION DATE: > > /0_4/(L INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ~AP_
OBSERVATIONS
1. This inspection was conducted as part of the 4-year monitoring program in the Division of Minerals and
Geology. Present at the inspection were Kate Pickford, DMG and Greg Nelson, Weld County Public Works
Department. Weather at the time of the inspection was clear, breery, and approximately 45 degrees.
2. A sign was posted at the site entrance, and the boundaries at the site were marked. Topsoil was stockpiled
at the site and vegetated. The topsoil present at the site is not adequate to reclaim the entire disturbed area at
the site. The amount of topsoil presently at the site is adequate to reclaim the slopes but not the flat area in the
low-lying portion of the site. If additional topsoil is necessary for reclamation, it will be hauled in from another
site. Currently, however, the low-lying portion of the site it becoming revegetated on its own and additional
topsoil may not be necessary.
3. A large stockpile of material lies in the western portion of the site. Once this stockpile is removed, mining will
continue in the area where the stockpile currently sits. The low-lying area of the pit floods periodically due to
surface water runoff. A gully located in the northern portion of the site is experiencing some erosion. The
operator is incorporating measures to reduce this erosion by stabilizing the area with concrete.
4. All activities and completed work at the time of inspection appeared to be following the guidelines set forth
in the mining plan for the pit. All operations and conditions at the time of the inspection fall within regulations.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Greg Nelson
OPERATOR: Weld County Puhlic Works
STREET: P.O.
