<br />Y MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID )( M-81-057 <br />INSPECTION DATE 04/20/99 <br />(Page 2) <br />OBSERVATIONS <br /> <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS ESC <br />This was a pre-operation inspection of the Sprague- Red Lyons Mine conducted by Erica Crosby <br />of the Colorado Division of INinerals and Geology. A 112-conversion application was deemed <br />complete for filing on March 17, 1999. The decision due date is scheduled for June 15, 1999. <br />Site conditions were clear and warm. Ground conditions were dry. <br />Neil Sprague was present representing Arkins Park Stone Corp. Amine identification sign was <br />posted, but the conversion application notice was not posted. The operator will need to post <br />the notice to ensure proper notification of the conversion application. <br />Neil Sprague stated that mining would generally take place around the current quarry areas. <br />The entire permit area will not be disturbed. Permit boundary markers were noted along the <br />affected quarries. No man-made structures were noted within 200 feet of the affected area. <br />The Division received a letter from the Town of Lyons concerned of the possible addition to <br />truck traffic and surface water runoff.
