III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br />the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of CDMG. The Hawk's Nest Mine is a <br />revoked/forfeited mine permit that was reclaimed in 1995, with additional reclamation work since that <br />time. The site has a reduced inspection frequency of one complete and three partial inspections each <br />year. <br />No one else was present during the inspection. The ground was covered with a foot of snow. The <br />travel trailer that was pazked in the East Mine azea, next to the county road (former State Highway 133) <br />during the summer of 2006 has been removed. <br />Sins and Markers <br />This revoked permit site has no signs or mazkers. <br />Roads <br />No roads exist on the site that are associated with the mine. <br />Hvdroloeic Balance <br />The sediment control pond was covered with snow. <br />General Mine Plan Compliance <br />No problems were found in either the East or the West Mine areas. <br />Slides and Damase <br />No slope instability was evident on the hillslope along the north side of the road. <br />
