(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1985-100
INSPECTION DATE 04/26/2007
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS DEG
This inspection of Permit Number M-1985-100 (Gravel Pit #23) was conducted by Tony Waldron and Deb E. G6nima of the
DRMS and was prompted by a surety release request. Baca County representative Wayland Hafner was available for this
inspection. The pit is located approximately 13 miles west of Campo, CO off of County Road G and currently consists of
approximately 8.8 acres, of which all have been reclaimed to the satisfaction of the Division.
The mine entrance sign and permit boundaries were all clearly marked.
Mine entrance signs and permit boundary markers are all in place, and the site has been fully reclaimed. This site has a
substantial population of well-established native grasses. The Division has received documentation that the landowner has
requested the stockpile of rock at the southeastern extent of the permit area be left in place for their use.
All activities and completed work at the time of inspection appeared to follow the guidelines and regulations set forth by the
state and the mining and reclamation plans for the pit, and no problems are noted for this site. The site is stable and no
disturbance was observed outside of the approved permit boundaries.
The establishment of native grasses across the site led to the determination of DRMS that the final Surety Release request is
approved for Baca County Permit Number M-1985-100. Notice of this determination will be sent under separate cover.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Deb E. G6nima at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety,
Denver Office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, phone number 303-866-4179.
I & E Contact Address cc:
^ CE
NAME Bill Wright ^ BL
OPERATOR Baca County ^ FS
STREET 741 Main Street ^ Hyy
CITY/STATEIZIP Springfield, CO 81073 ^ HMWMD (CH)
^ SE
^ WOCD (CH)
^ OTHER
cc: Tony Waldron, DRMS via a-mail
