(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-~ 496-n8z
INSPECTION DATE: 09/27/n1 INSPECTORS INITIALS: KAP
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was conducted as part of the Division of Minerals and Geology's monitoring program. Present at the
inspection were Kate Pickford, DMG and Greg Squire, DMG. Weather at the time of inspection was clear, breezy, and
about 65 degrees.
2. No permit sign was posted at the entrance to the permit area. Lack of signage is in violation of Section 3.1.12 (1) of
the Constructions Materials Rules and Regulations. All boundaries of the permit area appeared to be marked. No
active mining was occurring at the time of the inspection and all previous activity at the site did not appear to be
recent. No equipment was on site at the time of inspection. All previous mining activities appeared to have occurred
within the permit boundaries. Adequate topsoil for reclamation was stockpiled at the site and was covered by very
sparse vegetation. Halegeton, a toxic plant, was relatively dense in many locations of the permit area. The presence
of this weed without efforts to control its presence is in violation of 3.1.10 (6) of the Constructions Materials Rules and
Regulations
3. All completed work at the time of inspection appeared to be following the guidelines set forth in the mining plan for
the pit. The permit holder is required to post a mine permit sign at the entrance to the permit area, and forward a
photo of the said posted sign to the Division of Minerals and Geology within 30 days of receipt of this inspection
report. Additionally, the permit owner is required to submit a weed control plan in the form of a technical revision to
the Division specifying how they will control the presence of Halegeton within 60 days of receipt of this inspection
report.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Eric Reckentine
OPERATOR: Western Mobile, Inc.
STREET: 1590 w. 12'" Ave
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Denver.
