III. COMMENTS • COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the inspection. Comments <br />also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts of evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This mine has gone through Phase I on all disturbed aeeas, and Phase II and III Bond Release on all but <br />approximately 8.9 acres. The permit boundary was reduced to enclose 8.9 acres. These acres consist of <br />four separate pazcels: three aze designated as shrub areas and one a {former and reclaimed) slide area. The <br />repaired slide area is to be checked for Phase I compliance. <br />The site was covered by about three feet of snow. All observations were from Routt County Road 53. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS <br />The only mine identification signs that could be observed from the road was at Pazcels 003 and JG-8 <br />(south end of west side). The signs were in compliance with the rules, and were in good repair. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE <br />The site was covered by snow. No runoff was visible. <br />FISH AND WILDLIFE <br />Elk fencing about Pazcels 003 and HG-8 was in good repair. The fencing about Pazcel E could not be <br />seen from the road. <br />SLIDES AND DAMAGE <br />No slides or damage were noted through the snow cover. <br />CC Inspection of 5 January 2006, C-1980-003, Page 3 of 4 pages.
