Valco should back slope the dike south of the sand bar when mining is completed <br />and allow the sand bar to maintain its natural condition. A request for bond <br />release on the sand bar area can now be submitted and this area <;an be released. <br />2. The new topsoil stockpile on the west side of the large lake need to be <br />seeded to protect it from soil and fertility losses. Pennant or Premier ryegrass <br />at a rate of BIl/ac pls on these topsoil piles should stabilize them over the <br />short term 1-2 years. For longer term stability you should seed Western <br />Wheatgrass at a rate of 16if/ac pls. Transplanting of tamarisk cuttings should <br />take place in the spring of the year during dormancy.
