A site inspection of the Durham Pit was made to verify the progress made in installation of the "interim Flood control <br />measures" to eliminate the potential for adverse impacts to buildings owned and operated by Bliss Produce Company on <br />the north side of the Cache La Poudre River during a 100-year Flood event. Present during the inspection was Brad Janes <br />of Varra Companies Inc.. <br />2. The inspection confirmed that the operator has completed the construction of the interim Flood control measures as <br />referred to in the Division's previous site inspection on March 11, 2005 and specified in Technical Revision No. 1. <br />Technical Revision No. 1 was approved by the Division on March 16, 2005. The operator has also completed reducing the <br />height of the north-south oriented berm separating the western cells at the Durham Pit to facilitate the flow of Flood <br />waters if they were to spill onto the Durham Pit during a major flood event. <br />3. Digital photographs of the completed construction were taken and are attached to this report. <br />4. The operator also hand delivered the "final flood control measures" for the existing berm.
