' ~ 'Transit Mix Concrete Comp - 2 -
Approval of Proposed Well Location.
In order to expedite the groundwater remediation program, we request your approval for drilling
the proposed new wells at the locations we have staked on your property. Please review the
enclosed 600 Foot Well Spacing Statement. If you approve of the locations, please ill and
return the form to me in the enclosed em~elope.
To assist in your review of our request for well location approval, we have enclosed a map
showing expected changes in water levels that will occur when the proposed welts are in
operation (Figure 2). Total lowering of water levels is estimated to be less than four feet at the
existing residentiai wells. The estimated water level change is based on a hydrogeologic
evaluation of the area, including calculations using a groundwater flow model. The saturated
thickness of the aquifer at the residential wells is over 30 feet. Therefore, lowering the water
levels by four feet is not expected to cause a significant affect on the residential wells.
Appropriate m~°asures will be taken to assure that an equivalent water supply is made available if
pumping of the extraction wells causes significant decreases in available yields from the existing
domestic wells.
If you have any questions regazding the proposed well locations or operations, please call me at
390-5071, Extension's We hope you will approve the well locations as proposed and look
forward to your response. ~~~~
Sincerely,
Williatn D.
