P178-349
Dear Mr. Squire:
READY MIX
SAND AND GRAVEL
FEB 5 ~gyg
Division of mmerais s Geology
In response to your inspection conducted 12/18/95, Casey Concrete, as the operator
is outlining the corrective action taken in regards to your noted potential
problems.
The first issue to be addressed is the proposed backfilling activity involving
inert material. The following action is to be taken; before any inert material
is physically used for backfilling it will sit and cure for a minimum of sixty
days. To accomplish this a pit will be constructed on the premises to contain
excess waste concrete and associated wash water.
This containment pit will be located and constructed in a manner that no subsequent
damage will occur, concerning environmental and health issues. To help facilitate
this, the containment will be lined with a clay/dirt mixture to eliminate any
potential seepage of foreign water into the existing ground water.
The other possible problems pertaining to the storage of scrap tires and
miscellaneous barrels of unidentified contents has been resolved simply by
transportation of the aformentioned materials to their respective disposal sites.
DICKI~EY ON BETE -
,// i
J
Shawn Vond tte
General Manager
PHONE (970) 6253489
OR (970) 6251464
(970)963-9070
FAX (970)863-0180
