page 2/2 Deserado C-81-018 <br />15 Jan 04 <br />Processing Waste (cont.): -The Operator has begun stockpiling refuse on pile RP-5a. <br />The stockpile is in the same place it was last year, on the southeast portion of the pile. <br />The pile was covered with snow at the time of the inspection. Due to the wet <br />weather, there were no problems with fugitive dust. <br />Support Facilities: -The pad and area around return shaft RS-3 was stable and <br />showed no signs of erosional problems at the time of the inspection. <br />-The B-Vent shaft area was stable and in good condition at the time of the <br />inspection. <br />-The Halandras landfill area was stable and in good condition at the time of the <br />inspection. <br />- Drill pad 310130-22 was covered with snow at the time of the inspection. The pad <br />has, however, been reclaimed and the exploration hole has been sealed and <br />properly marked. Drill pad 310130-23 was inaccessible due to snow. <br />
