Please confirm to me whether you wish to be placed on the agenda for the September 2002
meeting by August 26, which is when the tentative agenda is planned. If possible, you should
prepare and send to the Boazd's secretary a packet often copies of your written materials
supporting your proposed position, in time for distributing them to the Board members in the
mailing which goes out on August 30. If you do not meet that deadline, then simply bring those
multiple copies with you to the hearing, along with any other documents, pictures or materials
which you wish to present.
Please be reminded that this is your appeal of the Division's determination. If I do not hear from
you, confirming your wish to be on the meeting agenda, I will not schedule it. However, if the
Division finds that ore is again being stockpiled at the Vickers Ranch location, it will become an
enforcement issue to be settled, and the Division will proceed with scheduling a hearing.
I do look forward to getting this matter resolved, and hope to hear from you during the coming
weeks. Please contact me if you have questions. I can be reached at the Division's Durango field
office: 701 Camino del Rio, Room 125, Durango, CO 81301; telephone 970/247-5193 or fax
970/247-5104.
Sincerely,
~~ ~
Bob Oswald ~/
Environmental Protection Specialist
Cc: Kye Abraham, LKA International, Inc., 3724 47`" St. Ct.
