Cortrments also describe any enforcement actions taken dtring the inspection <br />and the tads or evidence supporting the entorcemerrt action. <br />This was a regular complete inspection of the Bourg Mine conducted by Jim Burnell of DMG, <br />beginning at 0700, 1 October 1997. The weather was cool, clear, and calm with frost on the ground. <br />The inspector was unaccompanied. The site was unoccupied and quiet, the gabs was locked and <br />undiahabed. There is evidence of a recent eh»ng etrnm on the site -abundant standing water is present <br />in low spots, the site is muddy and there are signs of recent sheetwesh across the gravel pad. <br />Records: The mine records, found at the Jackson Canty cauthouse, have received needed rnairrtatarrce <br />Records that were noted as missing during fhe lest complete utspection have ben updated and added. <br />SiynalMerkirs: Sigr- at entrance needs to be modified to include the DMG, as per rule 40.30.2 (3). <br />Roads: The perimeter road is generally at good condition. It appears that riprap has been added along <br />several of the rock check dams. <br />Fydrolopc Balatce: The nattual ermyo in the northwest corner of the site ie stable with no erosion <br />evident. It con~ins a reasonably thick growth of vegetation on the bottom. <br />Osnerd l1Aste Plan Compferace: The perimeter fence is secure smd in good repair all the way around. <br />Wire from the old telephone line ie down along the west end north perimeters. Old telephone poles have <br />been sawed off to 6" above the Bound. <br />Topsoil: Corse rip rap has txen placed in piles in the ditch north of the vegetation study area <br />FIs1YYYYdife: Ground squirrels and eoggbirda was everywhere. There is extensive active rodent <br />buaowing on the East perimeter road berm. <br />RsvsgetaRlon: The bottom of the natiual arroyo in the northwest corner ie densely vegetated with <br />sagebrush. Directly adjacent in the reclaimed area, grasses are thick. Wheat grass has developed <br />seedheade. Thistle sprayed since July is beginning to regenerate. The patch halfway along the Nor@t <br />perimeter ie returning. The patch along the east perimeter mad adjacent to the gate has been sprayed, <br />but new plants have sprouted since the spraying. The thistle patch south of the gate has been eradicated, <br />as have the patches in the area of the gravel pad and on the 2-track mad leading east from the pad. This <br />will need to be sprayed again as soon a8 spring arrives. <br />
