III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />OC #2 Mine C-80-002 <br />14 June 2004 <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during <br />the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection of the OC #2 Mine conducted by Jim Stark of CDMG. <br />The mine permit has been revoked. The weather was warm and sunny and the <br />ground was dry. <br />The Reclaimed portal bench and portal area was stable and well vegetated at the <br />time of the inspection. There were no cracks or slumps observed in the backfilled <br />areas. The vegetation was doing very well. No erosional problems were noted at this <br />area. <br />The remaining pond was dry at the time of the inspection. The pond embankment <br />was well vegetated and appeared stable. No erosional problems were observed on <br />the embankment at the time of the inspection. <br />The site is in its eighth year of liability and appears to be doing very well. <br />
