The Operator should install dedicated conductivity and
temperature monitoring as soon as possible and must continue to measure the dissolution
surface piezometric level elevation as specified in the approved monitoring plan.
It was discussed at the site that Section 3.3 of the approved monitoring plan may contain
conflicting language regarding the parameter lists for analysis of each sample. It is DMG's
position that during the baseline period of ground water quality characterization all samples
must be analyzed for the WQ2 expanded parameter list.
Topsoil stripped prior to construction of the well pad is stockpiled at the west end of the
29-4 pad. The stockpile has been fenced with 4-strand barbwire. Since this is a long-term
stockpile, it should be seeded before winter if~this has not already been done. The topsoil
stockpile is in a place and configuration where erosion will be minimized and is located in
an area where it will not be disturbed by ongoing operations.
cc: Carl Mount, DMG
Mr. Paul Daggett
Bureau of Land Management
73544 Highway 64
Meeker, CO 81641
I & E Contact Address
^ CE
NAME Kurt Nielsen ^ BL
OPERATOR American Soda, L.L.C., c/o Steiaers Corp. ^ FS
STREET 6551 S.
