j ~i <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-97-039 <br />INSPECTION DATE 07/30/99 <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS ESC <br />This was an inspection of the Williams/Illinois Gravel Pit conducted by Erica Crosby of the <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology. Richard Wyatt representing Wyatt Redi-Mix Co. was <br />present during the inspection. Weather conditions on site were warm and dry. <br />The mine site is located roughly 3 miles northwest of Rand in Jackson County. The permitted <br />acreage is 9.9 acres, located on private property. The site is actively being mined, and <br />material is being used to construct roads for the landowner. <br />The disturbed area is estimated at 3 acres in size. Pit depth ranges from 10 to 12 feet <br />deep. The pit will progress to the west. The depth of overburden ranges from 3" to 2.' <br />Topsoil has been stockpiled to use for reclamation. <br />A mine identification sign was posted at the entrance to the site.
