111. COMMENTS-COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments an the inspection. The continents include discussion of observations made during Ihz inspzction. Comments also describe any <br />enforcemem actions mken dunng the inspection and the facts or zvidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This mine is in permanent cessation and reclamation. There is no ongoing reclamation work other than <br />control of weeds at the site. <br />Byron G. Walker prepared this aerial inspection report from three aerial photographs [65-01-10-1 I- <br />I(1)through 3(3)]. All three photographs are overviews of the site. Copies of these photographs are on <br />file at the Division and were mailed to the Permittee. The photographs were taken by, and an oral <br />debriefing was obtained from, Mr. Harry Ranney, Environmental Protection Specialist of the Division. <br />Mr. Ranney stated [ha[ he saw no problems at [he site. <br />ROADS All the roads (permanent) aze visible best in Photograph 1. All appear to be incompliance. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE There is what appears to be a low level of water (all photographs) in the <br />west cell of the Sedimentation Pond. No erosional features are noted in [he photographs. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES The sedimentation pond appears to be in good repair (all photographs). The <br />Vulcan Ditch is visible in all the photographs. The Topsoil Pile 1 SAE ditch berm is visible in <br />Photograph 3. <br />TOPSOIL The two remaining topsoil piles are clearly visible in Photographs 2 and 3. They appear [o <br />be well stabilized. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE See the introductory comments above. With [he exception <br />of a sedimentation pond, drainage structures, and two topsoil stockpiles, required demolition, <br />backfilling and grading, and seeding has been accomplished. The reclamation is in compliance with the <br />general mine plan. <br />REVEGETATION The site is in that stage of reclamation where revegetated areas are developing to <br />meet final bond release standards (a Phase II Bond release of the area was approved September 28, <br />2001. <br />Page ~ of _4_ Pages, (date) _29 October 2001 (initials) ^~-~~ <br />
